I can’t get Dolby Digital Live sound. How can I get Multi-channel surround sound in Windows Vista? |
In Windows Vista, you can adjust the channel in Windows Audio Control. If you want to get Multi-channel sound, please check the box for ‘CMSS3D’.
- Channel setting: This is only for analog sound (because DDL sound comes out in 5.1 chhannels unconditionally). Right click the speaker icon at the system tray > Playback device > Right click the 'Speakers' > Configure > Set the channel as you want.
- Default Device setting: Right click the speaker icon at the system tray > Playback device > Set the default device as 'Speakers.'
Please note the following:
- In Analog mode (with CMSS3D On), multi-channel matches your channel setting.
- In Digital mode with Dolby Digital Live or with CMSS3D On, output is 5.1 channels.
- In Digital sound without DDL feature, please set default device to SPDIF Output.
- If you turn on the Dolby Digital Live feature in ‘SPDIF Out’(default device), sound will stop with an error message. |
